Terms of Service

Coffean is operated by Abraham (Mexico). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Coffean.

Coffean is a personal coffee collection tracker. You record the beans you buy — roasters, origins, processing, tasting notes, costs, weights and photos — and the app helps you organise and review that collection. Some features use artificial intelligence to read a photo of a bag label and to group tasting notes.

Coffean is a non-commercial side project, provided free of charge. There is no paid tier, we do not process payments and we do not sell anything.

• Sign-in is handled entirely through Discord. We never receive, store or ask for a password.
• You are responsible for keeping your Discord account secure. Anything done through your account is your responsibility.
• You must be old enough to hold a Discord account (13 or older, or the minimum age in your country) to use Coffean.

The records and images you add belong to you. You give us the limited permission needed to run the service: to store your data, display it back to you, and process it for the features you choose to use. For example, scanning a label sends that photo to our AI provider so the text can be read.

You are responsible for the content you upload, including making sure you have the right to upload it.

• Do not upload unlawful, infringing or harmful content.
• Do not attempt to access another user's account or data.
• Do not attack, overload, scrape or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
• Do not use the service in a way that breaks the law.

Label scanning and tasting-note grouping are automated and can be wrong — misread text, mistranslations or incorrect categories. Always review the fields before saving. These features are conveniences, not professional advice.

Coffean depends on third parties, including Discord (sign-in), OpenRouter and its underlying AI model providers (label reading and note classification), and Cloudflare (image storage). Your use of those parts is also subject to their terms. See the Privacy Policy for the full list and what each one receives.

The service is provided as-is, as a hobby project, with no uptime commitment. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service could be discontinued entirely. We may update these Terms from time to time and will revise the date above; continuing to use Coffean after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes your beans, roasters and uploaded images. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data. Please keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose — data loss can happen.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
